Hi! My name is Artem Kvartalnov. I am a PhD candidate in Government at the University of Texas at Austin. I am also a Graduate Fellow at the Clements Center for National Security. I hold B.A. and M.A. degrees from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) and an M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. Before coming to UT, I worked and interned at PIR Center and UNDP Eurasia.

I specialize in international relations and political methodology. My focus areas include diplomatic alignment, responses to aggression, preferences in international relations, and text analysis.

In my spare time, I like hiking and walking. I advocate for free press, peace, public transit, animal rights, and sobriety.
